The Granary Ticehurst Reviews

Stephen
We enjoyed a super week in The Granary. Nancy provided comprehensive details prior to our visit which was very useful. The property was clean, well equipped and comfortable in a quiet location convenient for local attractions. We would definitely consider visiting again.
Alexandra
17th - 24th October We had a lovely week in 'The Granary'. The accommodation was fabulous and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the lounge was a lovely place to relax. The owners were very welcoming and left us a great welcome pack. The cottage is in a great location to visit many atttactions. We knew the area quite well already - we chose it to give our GSD some lovely walks. Bewl Water and Bedgebury Pinetum were favourites!
Charlotte
Eight ladies on a yearly weekend away, this property was perfect. Nancy, the owner was at the property when we arrived and made us feel welcome, Nothing seemed too much trouble.
Linda
Very spacious, clean, well equipped cottage in beautiful countryside. My grandchildren had a great time at Go Ape just a few minutes car journey away.
Jill
A very clean and well equipped cottage. Met up with old school friends and the accommodation suited us very well. Beautiful vaulted, beamed ceilings and it looked even better than the photos. Walking from Ticehurst was a little limited but there were lots of NT and other interesting places to visit. Nancy (owner) was very welcoming and I would highly recommend.
Angela
We had the most wonderful stay at The Granary. Every little detail had been thought of. Our fur babies enjoyed the treats that were left for them, as did we. Very clean, modern, comfortable & spacious holiday home. Well equipped & furnished. Safe enclosed garden for the dogs & children. Plenty of on site parking. Can highly recommend.
Steve

Charlotte
We had a lovely stay at this holiday house. It was spacious and gave a lovely atmosphere in the countryside. The owner was super helpful, and great recommendation leaflets were inside the accommodation. Even a dog treat basket was provided for our four-legged friend. The cottage had everything we needed over the course of the week and suited the whole family. The range of downstairs rooms and outside areas gave us a lovely amount of space to dine in and spend time in the evenings. The location is excellent and although in the countryside - it's in a central location to shops, beaches and tourist attractions.
Jill
An amazing property very peaceful , lots of space inside & out. Lots of books and games . Even had fans in the bedrooms .
Rosamund
Lovely well equipped cottage in a peaceful but easily accessible location. Helpful owner nearby. We would highly recommend a visit.
Barbara

Kate
Beautiful barn conversion, really well equipped and in the most stunningly peaceful location. Walks on your doorstep. It was perfect for our family celebration of 8 adults and 3 dogs. The layout is superb so you donâ??t get on top of each other. Really large Living room with log burner, so loads of room for us all to spread out. Woukd thoroughly recommend.
Alison
What a fantastic find, we had a really good time with the family and 2 dogs at The Granary. Probably the best equipped and most comfortable property that we have ever stayed in. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, glasses, serving dishes etc and lots of unexpected extras like a welcome basket for the dogs! Tastefully decorated with comfortable beds, excellent showers, decent large towels, plenty of hot water, and a superb TV & sound system. The garden was perfect for our 2 cocker spaniels who normally find a little hole to escape through but not at The Granary! Plenty of parking, great outside space with a hot & cold shower for getting sand and mud off the dogs after a swim in the sea or reservoir! The weather wasn't quite warm enough for a BBQ but the equipment looked good. Plenty of good pubs and places to eat near by. Would highly recommend.
Reineke
We had such a lovely week in the cottage! Super comfortable and had everything we needed. Really cozy vibe and the owners are so friendly. The area is beautiful with loads to doâ??from beaches to castles, and from shopping to stunning gardens.
Betzy
This was one for us: warm welcoming interior, good beds, loadsa space, easy-to-operate cooker, plenty of parking, cosy woodstoveâ?¦ Lots of nice touches, like the welcome basket in the kitchen and the OS map. Weâ??re old and it was helpful to have the owners nearby but they are not at all intrusive for holiday-makers who want to be totally on their own. You can walk down to Bewl Water (NB: full circuit is 13 miles and we just did short stretches). Ticehurst has a v. decent pub (The Bell) and good vibes and a big free carpark. Local eco-shop (Buy the Weigh) does tasty croissants. Excellent holiday.
Sarah
We have had a fabulous week at the Granary. The accommodation is clean, spacious and confirtable. The garden is lovely to sit out in and secure for the dog we had with us for part of the trip. I understand this is a new rental so a couple of minor things that may have been useful that I'm sure the helpful owner will add following our feedback. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this holiday cottage.
Matt
The Granary was a excellent property, with more than enough space for the four of us (2 adults, 2 kids). The dining room was huge and whilst the lounge was also massive, it was very cosy, with a good log burner and plenty of comfy sofas to hang out on in the evenings. The kitchen was well-equipped and while I can imagine it may feel a bit tight if there were 8 of you staying, it was perfect for us. The bedrooms were great, each with an en suite upstairs. The hosts were very welcoming, both introducing themselves but not imposing and we felt they were ready to assist with any issues (not that there were any). Would highly recommend and will likely stay again ourselves if visiting the area.
Rachel
If you are looking for an English cottage vibe, this is the property! It is surrounded by beautiful nature and there are plenty activities in Ticehurst. We really recommend the pub The Bell in Ticehurst! If you want to head to the city, there is a station nearby which makes London only an hour away. The property itself was very clean and the owners were very nice and helpful. The owner briefly welcomed us and there was a basket with treats for the dogs. In short, we had a blast! And we are already discussing coming back in the summer :)
William
The property was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated for christmas. It was in a great location and the hosts were very friendly and close by to help with any issues. The log burner was also really nice given the weather! Unfortunately we had a storm when we stayed and they shut a lot of places, so we are hoping to come back when the weather is better.
