Primrose Place Reviews

We had a lovely bank holiday stay at Primrose Place. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and living areas, wellequipped kitchen, and the kids loved the games room in the garden. Would definitely recommendreturn.
Excellent house. Comfortable beds, good decor, sensible kitchen, good appliances, great garden with BBQ and furniture. Showers worked fine, good quality linen, efficient heatinghot water. TV with everything on it rather than the minimum, good wifi. Nothing missing, generous welcome supplies if you need a house in worthing this one is a winner. Jane and Jonathan

The property was ideal for our need's, very spacious and great facilities. Could not fault our stay one bit. Everything from start to finish was perfect.
Lovely property, clean and comfortable, well located and easy to find. We were there for a long weekend and it had everything we needed. Lovely welcome basket which was appreciated, and the kitchen is well equipped, although the handle on the oven door is loose and the oven trays could do with replacing. On the whole the property was warm, I did find the larger second floor bedroom on the cold side and couldnt get the radiator to work but there were extra duvets in the wardrobe which helped. But these were only minor niggles and didnt stop from us enjoying our stay.
Absolutely fantastic home, very comfortable and accommodating. Few little things could do with attention but overall home from home.
We spent a lovely few days in Primrose Place. The beds were very comfortable, as was the seating in the living room. Plenty of plug sockets. My Grandson enjoyed playing pool in the little garden room. A lovely welcome pack was provided. Plenty of glasses, mugs, plates and cutlery. The only food delivery that we had was from the Asian Village, Chinese which we all enjoyed One thing to mention is that the seafront is not just 2 minutes away, which was mentioned in a previous review. It takes a bit longer, but that was fine for us. The only negative was the coffee machine not working. As coffee beans are provided, it was a disappointment. Again, according to reviews, this seems to be a regular occurrence. We would definitely return to Primrose Place. Anne

Lovely property, very well presented, clean, kitchen well stocked, lovely welcome pack, dog friendly, 2 mins from beach everything I wanted.
Lucille
This was a lovey comfortable house with lots of room for our family. The welcome pack was a lovely touch after our long journey. We couldn't get coffee machine to work so we messaged Alice and she was there in less than 30 minutes. We then enjoyed coffee every day. They even provide a lovely pet bed and bowl for our furry friend. We would definitely go back to Primrose place.
Jackie
We had a very enjoyable stay at Primrose Place. It was just the right size for our family and very clean with good facilities. It was a nice surprise to find a welcome pack of items such as bread, butter, eggs, cake and honey. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely book again.
Jacqueline
Felt there could have been few board games in games room. Also information on local area eg buses, more take aways .
Philip
Very disappointed with the many maintenance issues in house. Rugs in lounge are in bad repair we removed them so not to trip over them. Couple of door do not stay shut. Top floor bathroom window jammed open and the shower doesnt drain away. Coffee maker we could not get to work. If we had wanted to do washing there was nowhere to dry it. Tv in top bedroom didnt seem to work. No recycling bin outside. We have stayed in many Sykes holiday homes this stay as I said was disappointing.

A comfortable home, only ten minutes drive to the beach. We loved the garden and playroom. It was nice to all fit round one table for family meals and a BBQ! too. Those of us in the front bedrooms found the main road very noisy at night, the kitchen could do with some baking trays & larger pots and we all found the stairs and rugs easy to sliptrip on we would have struggled if our 93 year old grandma had joined us. Communication was excellent and I have no doubt they would have been quick to attend to anything vital. Overall, we would stay again as it provided the perfect base to explore nearby Arundel, Littlehampton and Goring too.

This could be such a beautiful home from home. Unfortunately, unless everything in you home is tired, a bit grubby, a bit ill thought out, and in need of replacement or repair, it isn't. While we were there we found that the boiler had a serious fault, and neither the hot water or heating were working reliably or properly. We contacted the owner, who sent a maintenance man round rather than a plumber, and although initially it seemed that he had sorted that problem out, unfortunately we had the same problems again the next day. This made one of the showers dangerous to use due to the water temperature fluctuating wildly and suddenly between scalding hot and extremely cold. We were here in January during a storm, so the fact that one of the bathroom windows was actually fixed in an open at least two inches position was another huge problem, which caused freezing wind to be blowing through the top floor all day and night. There was absolutely no blind of any kind in one of the bathrooms. As the bath was directly in front of the window, and there are houses on that side of the property, this meant that I had to give us at least partial privacy by hooking a towel over the window handle. Shocking and worrying. Especially as there were 4 women in our group. Due to really curling up at the edges, the ratan rugs in the lounge are a dangerous trip hazard for anyone, but we had my 86 year old Mum with us, so I rolled them up to move them. This then forced me to have to vacuum all the dirt and dust which was underneath them. The lovely wooden flooring in the lounge is illfitted, and our dogs claw got completely stuck in one of the very large gaps. Absolutely no side tables or side lighting in the lounge, and the sofas are really not that comfortable. There were grubby stained and broken blinds. We left a little early. The owner, who was happy to communicate via text whilst we were there, actually completely stopped communicating immediately after we left, and has ignored my further texts. On the up side. The location is quite good. The garden is secure for dogs and children. The welcome pack which consisted of bread, honey, apple juice, fresh strawberries, milk and a cake was delicious. If all of these major and minor problems were fixed, we would be happy to return, but as it stands, this property needs improvements. We suggest the owners actually stay in the property for a few days themselves. Only then will they find all the problems.
Elaine
Enjoyed our stay at Christmas with all the family. Thanks for putting up lovely Christmas Tree & your welcome pack was much appreciated. Worthing has many things to do and the Pantomine was brilliant! Thanks Elaine
We had a lovely family get together! The decor and comfort were amazing! The late check out was a kind gesture The main problem we had was the temperature fluctuations in both showers. All nine of us ended up showering in the bath with a hand held shower attachment. I did ask the owner about this with out any solution. Small things could be improved. Couple of larger saucepans cooking pasta in 2 saucepans wasnt ideal Maybe a large Wok A blender Somewhere to hang coats? Shoe rack at the door? These are just small adjustments that would improve the holiday experience. Im not complaining, just giving suggestions! Ive rented out holiday villas in spain for many years, so I know what people want! We really had a great time. Thanks very much, Kim and Family
Tracey
Lovely property enjoyable stay well equipped for large parties the only thing that it could have done with was a teapot.
We had a great holiday, and the location was a perfect position to travel around without being stuck in a holiday resort or cramped caravan. Our only small gripe would be the size of the bath and the second floor shower always going cold half way through.
Rosemary
Lovely house Very well equipped. Everything you would need and more and lovely touches by owners providing the milk cake etc for our arrival Plenty of space. Great for the children with the enclosed garden and games room. Would throughly recommend.
Our stay at Primrose Place was relaxing and effortless. The owners allowed our early morning arrival and made sure a light was left on plus there was a welcome pack that meant we did not have to rush to go and buy food for breakfast, thank you it was a very kind touch. Everything else went smoothly and we had no problems. If there were any questions Alice was quick to respond on WhatsApp, but everything went smoothly. Thanks for everything and we would highly rate this property to stay in
Deepak
Lovely property and in excellent shape. A couple of issues All the door locks all 4 were not easy to close andor open. And Suggest blinds or curtains for the ground floor toward the garden.
Charlotte
This was perfect for our needs. Facilities were all great and the house was well equipped and very clean. Beds were comfortable too. Garden was lovely and kitchen well equipped. Although close to the road it wasnt noisy. Quirky interior. The minor niggles we found although didnt spoil the experience were as follows We probably could have done with an extra toilet roll per bathroom with nine people staying 1 per bathroom was not enough. The shower upstairs didnt drain properly. The downstairs loo handle was tricky to open with trapping fingers. A first aid kit? We couldnt find one Summer duvets The blind in upstairs room was a bit of a battle. Having said that the positives far outweighed any negatives and only really mentioning as they can be easily rectified for other guests.
Maxine
Great house for a family get together. Xx
Richard
As with all things, it's often the way people handle 'problems' that tells you a lot about them & the way they do business. We experienced a plumbing issue and the owner was helpful, extremely reactive & resolved the issue unexpectedly quickly. Fabulous property, fabulous owner.
Debbie
We have rented many holiday homes over the years and I have to say, this was the best weve ever had. So accurate in the description and nothing to be disappointed about on arrival. The house was extremely clean, bed linens top quality, plus little things like two towels on EVERY bed, plenty of kitchen equipment and the best welcome tray ever, with high quality goodies to share. Well remember this one, thats for sure!
