50 Harbour Road Reviews

A very nice place to stay. Four generations of our family. 93yrs to 4yrs of age. Place comfortable able to cope with our number. Lovely garden to sit in and view sunsets. Local walks and beach liked by all. Bit of TLC required in places especially around the kitchen sink. Cooking utensils were excellent. as we self cater. Some of the crockery has chips in. Place mats would have been of benefit.Likewise a cafetiere. Many thanks for the gifts of wine beer and coffee. A nice welcome pack.Would choose to go again. .
A really good visit apart from the disappointment for the grandchildren of no DVD player, although listed, and the incomplete set of mushrooms for the bar billiards. Some action needs to be taken regarding the black mildew on the ceiling of the ensuite for the back bedroom, which was a concern. Despite this everyone enjoyed their visit and appreciated the welcome pack and log supply, given the weather.
We had a great week. The house had all the facilities we needed, loads of space and super comfy beds! Lovely location for beach walks and the games room was great! In terms of improvement, theres only one thing we could suggest the games room is looking a bit tired, decor, sofa & the well used dart board could do with an update but thats all really.
We were a group of six with one pet dog and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 50 Harbour Rd. There was enough parking for three cars and the property was just as in the photos. It is only a short walk to the sea with views towards Bognor and Selsey Bill. A good base for exploring the area. The games room was fun and the outside seating area great on a sunny day. The property description is honest about Harbour Road itself which could do with some maitenance but it was just a case of driving slowly along it. All in all we had a lovely time.
The photos really dont do the property justice. The bungalow is HUGE! We are two families that holiday together with 5 older teenagers between us and there was plenty of room for all of us. The games room was a massive hit and where we spent a lot of our evenings. The garden is also lovely to sit in and gets the sun all afternoon and evening we saw some lovely sunsets. The location of the bungalow is good lots of nearby places to visit. Just be aware the bungalow is in a private road which parts of are VERY bumpy! The bungalow was clean, well stocked with kitchen essentials, beds were comfy and there was plenty of hot water. We really enjoyed our stay at Harbour Road and would highly recommend it.

Great location and very peaceful
This was a well appointed cottage in a great location . Its was close to the beach and had easy access onto the lagoon. We were very comfortable having good beds and plenty of places to sit inside and out. It was very dog friendly having a well fenced garden. The hosts left a useful welcome back Some of the furniture was a bit tired looking .

A lovely property with loads of room. Very quiet and lots of good sleep was had during our stay. You have loads of options on things to do there. A short walk can take you to a supermarket, fish and chip shop, amusements and a couple of other shops too. We loved our holiday here. Just drive carefully along the private road, leading to the property, as it is rather bumpy.

My family and I ages 12 years to 91 years had an enjoyable holiday at 50 Harbour Road. The bungalow had plenty of room for all of us and was very comfortable. The games room was a big hit and so was being so close to the beach. The sunrises on the beach and sunsets over the lagoon were a highlight. One small problem which did NOT spoil our enjoyment was the dishwasher, the large plates stop the water sprayer going round so crockery and cutlery were not cleaned properly, we washed the large plates and glasses by hand which helped. Thank you Rupert and Helen for a lovely family break. Annette

Had a fantastic week at 50 Harbour Road so close to the beach & nature reserve , shop at top of road . All round relaxing holiday , would definitely recommend Thanks for a brilliant week
Vanessa
We went as a multigenerational family and had a wonderful time. The bungalow was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. Such a lovely area too and the sunsets were to die for. Lovely, friendly next door neighbour Pat was delightful and the owners Rupert and Helen were so friendly and gave instant feedback to queries. I would definitely recommend
Hi Rupert and Helen, thank you for the use of your lovely holiday home. We loved the lovely spacious open and roomy areas. The WIFI worked well in all areas, hot water was plentiful, beds clean and very comfortable. Bathrooms, showers, all to a very high standard, appreciated by all. On the other hand. On arrival we found all the locks stiff and difficult to turn on entry. Plus key labelling could help. Dirty or poorly cleaned crockery, cookware and frying pan handle had to be put back on, on arrival. Third double bedroom would benefit from some noise attenuation to reduce boilerwater pipesshower. It disturbed my sons sleep. Also outside seating cushions were wet, the cover not keeping the water out. We have left them dry and in the Games room under the Bar billiards table. Back to the positive, nice to have toys and books for our granddaughter we spent a thoroughly good time having our first family holiday for a long time. The games room was a big hit. We also experienced the aurora borealis during the night of the solar storm this made an extra special experience in the garden. Thank you once again for the welcoming beers. We would have no problem recommending your holiday home to our friends, thank you, Kind regards. Paul Betty and family.
A deceptively large and comfortable bungalow. Ideally situated for exploring the local area whilst retaining a good garden area and BBQ for just relaxing and also pet friendly. A rear access gate leads to open fields for those looking for short walks. Easy access to the sea within 2 minute walk from the bungalow and adequate parking for 4 cars. The owners are quick to respond to any queries or requests and are extremely helpful. An ideal holiday home for larger families and we would have no hesitation in returning.

We had a wonderful stay at 50 Harbour Road. We were celebrating a 70th birthday and it was the perfect property for 3 generations to get together. The games room was a big hit with everyone. Very spacious property and the photos do not do it justice. We would definitely stay again.
Property served us very well, very cosy and had everything we needed, when we arrived it was very clean and everything was well explained before arrival. Very close to the beach and nice walks round about. Would recommend!
Lovely holiday home that provided everything three generations of our family needed. Thank you
Excellent accommodation for a family 6Adults 4children, large spacious and fully equipped. Games room with dartspooltable tennis and toys for the younger members! Highly recommended.
Jennette
On arrival not able to get into key lock easily. . Nice and roomy. Beds good. Not enough light. Some bulbs not working. All kitchen surfaces are very sticky we had to try and clean ourselves. The property needs refreshing, paint and decor. All crockery and cutlery and saucepans we had to wash. we had to wash. Nice to be greeted with wine in fridge. We would not return or recommend due to these reasons. But if these things addressed we would.
Key safe and front door difficult to open & close. Kitchen lighting totally inadequate nonworking bulbs and others flash on & off constantly, sink & food prep area is in darkness. Unable to be resolved by handyman Jamie. Kitchen worktops sticky and need a thorough clean. Oven and metal cooking pots greasy and need a thorough clean. One bathroom sink and one ensuite sink did not have plugs clearly missing for a long time. This is not a place I would use again or recommend for a group of 10. Be prepared to replace your car suspension on the potholed road.

We couldn't find a pen to write in the visitor book but please pass this on to the owner, perhaps they may want to print it out and stick it in. We had a wonderful stay. 50 Harbour Road was a comfortable retreat each night after long days exhibiting at Revival. Excellent facilities and convenient. Everything you could need. Thanks so much!
Very comfortable stay. Ideal for a large family.
Brenda
The washer dryer had turned into a washer only this was inconvenient for some of our party. On the plus side, lovely touches like handwash, washing up liquid, etc. Also plenty of saucepans and other cooking utensils. Everything was very clean and homely feeling. Thank you very much for a brilliant holiday.
