The Shooting Box was prefect for our needs. Well appointed, very comfortable, plenty of hot water and ideally located for our needs. Given that we stayed there during a cold snap in November the sitting/dining room and its log burner was the favourite room and ideal for everyone to get together in one shared space. A lovely quiet location, off the beaten track yet close to everything we needed. A lovely family weekend away.

There were 8 of us at the Shooting Box. A Victorian wonder. The sitting room is large and we had plenty of room for hide and seek and games involving the 2 youngest aged 7 and 11 and the four in their forties. The bedrooms were lovely. Beware the narrow steep staircases though but we (in our 70â??s) managed without any problems. The younger ones too just fine. James and Roy thoughtful hosts. We had a lovely week.

Lovely and unusual property in quiet rural location, rooms were all nicely decorated/furnished and kitchen had everything we needed to self cater. The owners were very helpful and had put up decorations and a tree for our Christmas break.

Our stay was great, we filled the rooms with 7 of us staying. The Shooting Tower is unique, its very different in a positive way and has a totally wonderful charm about the place. Tasteful art pieces, considered and thoughtful interior décor and dressings have all helped to enhance the age and the feel of the property. Good location, easy access to larger towns and places to visit with a good local pub The White Hart a short walk away. Very happy bunch of visitors.

The living room is an amazing, castle-like room, very beautiful and light with windows on three sides. The beds are very comfortable.
